Polishing discs

The pad determines how aggressively the compound is worked into the paint – a harder pad adds extra mechanical cut, while a softer one merely spreads the product gently. You will find hard (cutting) pads here for coarse compounds, medium pads for standard correction, soft finishing pads for maximum gloss, one-step pads for combined compounds, and glass pads for polishing and hazing glass. Sizes from 45 mm to 145 mm cover large panels as well as tight corners and details.

How to Choose a Polishing Pad Based on Its Hardness and Size

The pad and polish work as a pair—a firm pad won’t do much with a mild polish, while a soft pad with a strong polish may scratch the paint rather than polish it.

Firm (correcting) pad

The most aggressive option, designed for heavy-cut compounds and significant defects. It works fastest, but leaves fine marks of its own, which you can remove with a softer pad.

Medium pad

A versatile pad for medium-cut compounds and common swirl marks—the most commonly used combination for routine paint maintenance.

Finishing (soft) pad

Designed for finishing polishes, it brings the paint to a high gloss without further correction. Always used as the final step.

One-step pad

Designed specifically for one-step (all-in-one) polishes—its balanced firmness handles light correction and finishing in a single pass.

What size pad?

Larger pads (125–145 mm) work faster on open surfaces (hood, doors), while smaller ones (45–89 mm) are suitable for pillars, mirrors, or details and are mainly used with mini polishers.

Glass polishing pads

Special pads designed exclusively for polishing glass (removing wiper-induced lensing)—don’t use them on paint or vice versa; they have a different abrasive structure.
