Active foam is the first step of contactless washing – you spray it onto a dry car, let it work for a few minutes, and the dirt and dust run off with the foam before you even touch them with a sponge. This significantly reduces the risk of micro-scratches that occur when grains of sand rub against the paintwork during a standard wash. In addition to foams, you will also find concentrated TFR (Traffic Film Remover) products here for road film and dried asphalt, which are applied similarly, but with an emphasis on deep-cleaning grease removal.
You can choose between alkaline foams like Koch Chemie GSF Gentle Snow Foam or Bad Boys Alkaline Foam for normal and heavier soiling, a milder acidic variant like Acid Shampoo & Foam, or a ceramic foam like Auto Finesse Lavish, which leaves an extra thin hydrophobic layer on the paint after rinsing. For dried asphalt and road grime from the highway, reach for Traffic Film Remover or Auto Finesse Dynamite TFR.
