Clay (clay material) tackles contaminants that chemicals alone can’t remove – baked-on industrial fallout, asphalt residue, or old waxes become embedded deep in the paintwork, and regular washing can’t get them out. Gently glide a clay bar or clay mitt over the lubricated paintwork, using clay lube as a lubricant, and the clay literally pulls contaminants out of the surface.
Among classic clay bars and faster clay mitts, the NOX SynclayMitt stands out – a synthetic clay mitt with a honeycomb (HoneyComb) structure from our own NOX brand. It can decontaminate the paintwork in a fraction of the time compared to a classic clay bar, and you don’t have to keep folding it over to expose a clean side. You can also find a classic clay bar in its traditional form, such as the Clay Bar for regular or more thorough decontamination. However, you’ll always need clay lube for both options, such as Clay Lube or Gyeon Q2M ClayLube REDEFINED – without lubrication, the clay would simply drag across the paintwork and could scratch it.
