Carbon Collective Platinum Wheels is a ceramic coating developed specifically for alloy wheels – with 9H hardness and temperature resistance up to 350 °C, it handles what paint-specific ceramics never encounter: extreme heat from brakes and constant bombardment by brake dust.

Why wheels need a different ceramic than paint

When driving, wheels are exposed to much higher temperatures than the bodywork – mainly due to brakes that can temporarily heat the disc to hundreds of degrees – and at the same time, brake dust and road dirt are constantly sticking to them. Classic paint ceramics are not built for this, which is why Platinum Wheels has its own formula with resistance up to 350 °C. For paint, we recommend a separate ceramic from the paint ceramic protection range – as wheels and bodywork each require a different formula.

Can I use the same ceramic on wheels as I do on paint?
Not recommended – wheels are exposed to much higher heat from brakes and denser dust buildup, which is why Carbon Collective developed a separate range with higher temperature resistance (350 °C).

Instructions for use

1. Thoroughly wash the wheels with a specialized wheel cleaner.
2. Degrease the surface with Carbon Collective Panel Prep or another product for removing wax and old protection residues.
3. Work in chemical-resistant gloves and a well-ventilated area.
4. Apply using a microfiber applicator in a cross-hatch pattern.
5. Immediately buff off with a clean, short-nap microfiber towel.
6. Optionally, apply a second layer after 2–4 hours.
7. For regular maintenance, use a pH-neutral car shampoo or just high-pressure water; it is better to avoid aggressive wheel cleaners.
