Carbon Collective Platinum Glass is an SiO₂-based ceramic glass coating that activates a self-cleaning effect at speeds above 50 km/h – water practically flies off the windshield on its own, and you need your wipers much less. It lasts 6-8 months on the windshield and up to 24 months on side windows.

Before you start applying

Before application, the glass must be perfectly clean, degreased, and above all polished – just washing it is not enough. Microscopic water spots and residues of previous protection commonly remain on the glass; standard cleaning will not remove them, and the ceramic coating would not adhere to them evenly. The manufacturer recommends Carbon Collective Panel Prep or isopropyl alcohol, ideally after prior glass polishing, which reliably removes these deposits. Instructions for use

1. Do not work in direct sunlight; the glass must be cool to the touch.
2. Use chemical-resistant protective gloves and a respirator if in an enclosed space.
3. Polish and degrease the glass – best with Carbon Collective Panel Prep or isopropyl alcohol.
4. Apply a few drops to the included microfiber applicator and spread evenly using a cross-hatch motion.
5. Allow to haze for 1-3 minutes and buff thoroughly with a clean microfiber cloth.
6. Apply the second layer after at least 60 minutes – two layers are recommended for the windshield.
